| Eurostar is the high-speed train
service linking London, Ashford, Paris, Brussels, Lille, Avignon, Calais,
Disneyland Resort Paris and the French Alps.
Eurostar has become the number one choice for trips on the London-Paris
and London-Brussels routes. The latest available figures showed that Eurostar
have a 66% share of the London-Paris rail/air route, compared with 13%
for its nearest competitor, British Airways. On the London-Brussels route,
Eurostar has increased its share to 48%, whereas all its competitors saw
their share fall. Nearly 1.7 million customers travelled on Eurostar in
the final quarter of 2003.
Eurostar is changing the way that people travel between Europe and the
UK. With their new Channel Tunnel Rail Link that allows their trains to
run at speeds of 186mph they’ve reduced return journey times by
up to 40mins! And they’re going to reduce this even further when
works are completed on stage 2 of this programme. Eurostar directly links
London, Ashford, Paris, Brussels, Lille, Avignon, Calais, Disneyland Resort
Paris and the French Alps. You can also reach over 100 more destinations
across France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany with Eurostar Connections.
